GCMHP conducted a group psychosocial support session targeting boys as part of the project "Improving the Availability of Youth and their Caregivers to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Quality Services in Gaza Strip." in partnership with the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation - Enabel, and funded by the Belgian Government.

The session, titled "Managing Psychological Stress," targeted adolescents aged 15-18 and was conducted interactively to meet the specific characteristics and needs of this age group. The session addressed the definition of psychological stress and its sources, as well as discussing its most prominent physical, intellectual, and behavioral signs through real-life examples from the participants' experiences.

The session included a practical component focused on equipping participants with effective stress management skills. These skills included deep breathing exercises to help calm tension, counting techniques to regulate emotions and promote conscious response, and physical release exercises to alleviate physical tension. A supportive recreational activity was also conducted, fostering positive interaction among the participants. The session witnessed remarkable interaction from the boys, as they actively participated in the activities and exercises, with an improvement in their levels of calmness and focus being noted at the end of the meeting, in addition to acquiring practical skills that can be used to cope with daily pressures.
