GCMHP conducted an awareness session for a group of women entitled "Psychological Stress in Children and How to Cope with It." This session was part of GCMHP's ongoing efforts to promote community awareness of mental health and build families' capacity to cope with daily challenges. The session addressed the concept of mental health, defining it, highlighting its importance in an individual's life, and its role in achieving psychological balance and enhancing resilience to various life pressures. The concept of psychological stress was also discussed, defining it, explaining its main causes, and reviewing the signs and symptoms that may appear in individuals, whether physical, psychological, or behavioral.

The session also explored the nature of human responses to psychological stress, highlighting the different patterns of reactions that may occur in such situations and their impact on daily behavior and interaction. In a practical component, participants were trained in a range of simple and effective stress management techniques, including deep breathing, which helps reduce tension and anxiety and promotes a sense of calm.

The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of seeking psychological support when needed, and not hesitating to take advantage of the available counseling services, as the telephone service for psychological counseling (1800222333) was introduced as a supportive channel for providing consultations and psychological support.
