GCMHP conducted General Assembly Meeting and Elects New Board of Directors

Gaza – GCMHP conducted its 2026 General Assembly meeting at its headquarters in Gaza City and via Zoom, with the participation of its members. This reflects GCMHP’s commitment to continuing its institutional work and strengthening governance mechanisms, despite the exceptional circumstances and ongoing challenges facing the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was opened by Mr. Abdel Karim Ashour, Chairman of the Board of Directors, who welcomed the members and commended the exceptional and continuous efforts of the Executive Management and staff under the current conditions. He also expressed his appreciation to the members for their active participation in the meeting, despite the surrounding challenges and difficulties.

The meeting included a review and discussion of the annual administrative and financial reports for 2023, 2024, and 2025. Dr. Yasser Abu Jamei-Director General, presented the administrative reports, which covered GCMHP’s most prominent activities and developments over the past three years. These reports were discussed by the members of the General Assembly before being approved.

The auditor (HLB) presented the association's audited financial report for 2025, after which the members discussed the financial statements according to established procedures and standards, before the General Assembly unanimously approved them. During the meeting, an external auditor was also appointed for 2026.

Following the approval of the administrative and financial reports, the General Assembly discharged the previous Board of Directors from liability. The Elections Committee then reviewed the candidates for Board membership, who were elected unopposed. At the conclusion of the meeting, the General Assembly congratulated the new Board members and wished them success.

The Board of Directors:

* Mr. Shehada Al-Ibwaini – Treasurer

* Mrs. Nabegha Abu Shahla – Secretary

In addition to the membership of Mrs. Maha Al-Tawil, Mr. Abdal Nasser Al-Sarraj, Mr. Haitham Abu Shaaban, Dr. Said Nabhan, and Dr. Khaled Mowanes.
