As part of its capacity-building efforts and to enhance staff skills, the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) held a specialized training on Thursday, 7 August 2025, focused on the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse. The training aimed to raise staff awareness of the programme's polices, including procedures for preventing abuse, exploitation, and sexual harassment, as well as reporting mechanisms. The discussions were interactive and positive, highlighting the importance of such training for tall humanitarian and relief workers.
A total of 34 staff members from GCMHP's Deir Al-Balah and Khan Younis community centers attended the training. The four-hour session was delivered by the Director of the Khan Younis Community Center and was held at the Deir Al-Balah Community Center's training hall.
