In Cooperation with SOS, GCMHP Conducts a Training on “The Most Common Mental Disorders Among Children and Adolescents – Detection and Referral”

In collaboration with SOS Children’s Village – Gaza,GCMHP conducted a training on Tuesday, 30 September 2025, in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis. The training, attended by 19 specialists working at the Village, lasted a total of 8 hours. The course aimed to equip participants with knowledge on the most common mental disorders among children and adolescents andfamiliarize them with GCMHP’s referral standards and procedures.

ThetrainingwasdeliveredbythepsychologistOsamaFarina,DirectorofGCMHP’sKhanYounis CommunityCenter,whoopenedthesessionalongsideDr.AmerFarwana,TechnicalSupervisor atSOSChildren’sVillage.Theywelcomedparticipantsandintroducedthemtotheactivitiesand services provided by GCMHP to the Palestinian community. Both trainers emphasized the importanceofcontinuedcollaborationbetweenGCMHPandSOSChildren’sVillage–Gaza.
