Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) welcomed a delegation from UNICEF at its community center in Khan Younis. The delegation included Ms. Johanna, Mental Health Advisor, and Ms. Rania Samour, Child Protection and Mental Health Advisor. The visit aimed to review the mental health situation in Gaza and assess the challenges faced by professional staff and patients under the difficult conditions imposed by the ongoing conflict.
During the meeting, Mr. Osama Farina, Director of the Khan Younis CommunityCenter,providedadetailedoverviewofGCMHP’sworkand the services it offers. He highlighted the key field and professional challengestheteamfacesamidtheongoingaggressionandresponded to questions from the delegation regarding clinical practices and professional supervision mechanisms, which have been a source ofstrength and distinction for the program over many years.
