GCMHP Hosts Delegation from the oPt Humanitarian Fund

As part of the regular follow-up on projects funded by the oPt Humanitarian Fund, the Gaza Community Mental Health Programme (GCMHP) welcomed a delegation from the Fund at its headquarters in Deir al-Balah on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

During the visit, GCMHP presented a detailed overview of the key mental health services and activities implemented under the project: “Providing Emergency Mental Health Services to Displaced and Returning Men, Women, Boys, and Girls with and with out Disabilities Affected by War and Traumatic Events in Gaza, ”funded by the Humanitarian Fund.

The delegation was briefed on major out comes, including the delivery of psychosocial support sessions, professional supervision services for mental health staff, and awareness campaigns on mental health disorders and coping strategies. The positive impact of the project on the most vulnerable populations, particularly those affected by displacement and traumatic events, was highlighted.
