GCMHP Conducts Women’s Awareness Session on Recognizing Psychological Trauma and Pathways to Recovery
GCMHP conducted an awareness session for women on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, entitled “Symptoms of Psychological Trauma and Recovery Mechanisms.” The activity was implemented as part of the ongoing project “Inclusive Transitional Community Neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip,” in partnership with UNDP/PAPP.
The session targeted 33 women at a displacement camp in Gaza City and addressed several key topics, including the definition of psychological trauma, common trauma-related symptoms, practical recovery mechanisms, and ways to access psychological services, including the program’s free hotline.
Participants expressed strong positive feedback, highlighting the importance of such sessions in enhancing their mental well-being and strengthening their ability to cope with ongoing challenges.
