GCMHP conducted a group psychosocial support session for girls as part of the project "Improving the Availability of Youth and their Caregivers to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Quality Services in Gaza Strip." in partnership with the Belgian Agency for International Cooperation - Enabel, and funded by the Belgian Government.
The session aimed to enhance the girls' psychosocial well-being by using voice and rhythm as tools for emotional release, building trust, and fostering communication. The session included an icebreaker activity where small cards containing questions were distributed to the girls, with participants randomly selected to add excitement and engagement.
The session also featured individual singing activities, with participants clapping and cheering, which boosted their sense of accomplishment and self-confidence. A group singing activity further strengthened their sense of belonging, increased collective energy, and broke down social barriers.
