GCMHP welcomed a delegation from the International Medical Corps (IMC) to strengthen relations and explore avenues for joint cooperation in the field of mental health and psychosocial support.
During the visit, GCMHP was briefed on its mission and specialized services for crisis-affected populations. These services include psychological support, individual and group psychotherapy, community-based interventions, training and capacity-building programs, and the GCMHP's role as a co-leader in the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Technical Cluster in the Gaza Strip.
The meeting also addressed future cooperation and potential partnership opportunities to enhance the response to the growing mental health needs in the Gaza Strip, improve the quality of services provided to the local community, and support and meet the mental health needs of humanitarian service providers and frontline workers.
This visit is part of ongoing efforts to expand partnerships with international organizations supporting mental health and human rights.
